Omma Yoga was created in 2006 by Montse Cob. It set out to delve deeper into the feminine side of yoga, adopting a spontaneous, integral and respectful approach to women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.

The aim is to awaken a woman’s innate capacity to carry, give birth to and raise a child, through becoming aware of her own body by practising yoga and staying in touch with her feelings.

The classes and training involve a combination of the more scientific side of anatomical and physiological precision-yoga, and yoga as an art that comes from viva-vinyasa flow teaching.

The feminine dimension of practising yoga goes beyond the gender issue and is not about being a man or a woman. Omma Yoga offers a combination of precision and flow, providing an opportunity to rediscover that intuitive, “silent” and calming element that all of us have within us.
